Reaching out with Love

Friends Reaching Friends (FRF) is an outreach mission ministry of Holy Sacrament Episcopal Church, addressing the needs of orphaned, sick, abused and underprivileged children since 1987.

On Saturday February 10th 2007, many enjoyed an evening of great music, food and dance at our Annual Dinner Dance held at Signature Grand Banquet Hall. Our Dinner Dance will be on April 5th next year. All porceeds will go to support our local and foreign mission programs. The Dominican Republic Mission was from JUNE 1st - JUNE 9TH and the Jamaican Mission was from JUNE 8th – JUNE 17th

We are seeking sponsors for our various mission projects. Those interested in sponsoring should contact Holy Sacrament Church, 954-432-8686. You could be a Sponsor for $1,000; or a Silver Sponsor of a specific medical or mission project for $2,500; Gold Sponsor of a mission is $5,000 or be our lead Platinum Sponsor of both missions for $10,000. Donations should be made payable to Holy Sacrament Church (memo FRF Mission), 2801 N. University Dr., Pembroke Pines, FL 33024.

Each year we promote missions at various churches and in 2004 we spoke at training seminars for new mission leaders. Our annual mission team to The Dominican Republic treates approx 300 underprivileged kids, dispensing medicines while holding a vacation bible school for another 200 kids. In 2004 the Jamaica mission team built a computer lab at Granville Place of Safety for Girls, upgraded their office computers and engaged girls with daily devotional enrichment programs. Computers were also given to Clifton Boys Home, St. Monica’s Children Home and The Red Cross. We responded after Hurricane Charley hit Punta Gorda, clearing mounds of debris at The Church of the Good Shepherd. We sent an assessment team to Jamaica after hurricane Ivan with funds to start repairing storm damage to the three children’s homes we support and in addition gave supplies to Marigold Child Care Center. In December we returned on our annual Christmas trip, bearing gifts for all the kids and care givers at the two previous and current mission sites.

Find out more by attending our open mission meetings held at 7pm on the first Tuesday of each month.

Through our FRF missions, Holy Sacrament Church offers you a rare blessing; an opportunity to experience and be God’s hands at work. We pour our hearts out to these kids and they fill us up with God's grace.
